Basic Life Saving (CPR) Classes
All CPR classes offered at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital are American Heart Association (AHA) classes and will cover adult, child and infant CPR as well as foreign body airway obstruction (choking). Participants will have adequate opportunity to practice skills on a manikin. Participants that successfully complete a class will be given an AHA completion card valid for two years.
Heartsaver CPR
As well as CPR and choking, this class will cover the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for adults and children (ages one- onset of puberty). At his time there are no guidelines for using an AED on an infant less than one year of age.
Cost: $30
First Aid and CPR
As well as CPR, choking and AED, this class will cover basic first aid. The first aid portion of the class will cover medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies.
