Enhancing Quality of Life
Since its inception, Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital has been committed to serving the needs of community members of all ages and recent statistics indicate that
the population of older individuals is increasing. Recognizing the community's changing demographics, a new center for older adults has been
established at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital. The Krieger Geriatric Center is named in honor of Norman N. Krieger, M.D., who has been affiliated with the hospital since it’s inception in the 1970’s
The Carls Foundation provided an endowment in honor of Dr. Krieger to develop new programs to improve the standard of care for adults as they age. These programs include:
- An annual physician education program that features renowned speakers in the field of geriatric medicine.
- A resource center
- A health clinic
